A.Pengertian congratulation
Congratulation atau ucapan selamat adalah ucapan atau ungkapan yang diberikan kepada orang yang sedang mendapatkan atau mengalami sesuatu (mendapat kebahagiaan). Dalan hal ini tidak terbatas pada mendapatkan jabatan, barang baru saja, tetapi juga termasuk saat seseorang sedang merayakan sesuatu. Seperti:sedang merayakan hari besar.
Rumus Congratulation
1). Congratulation + objek + verb ing
2). Congratulation + for + verb ing
3). Congratulation + for + noun
Contoh kalimat Congratulation
1. Congratulation on passing your exam (selamat atas lulusnya ujian anda)
2. Congratulation on your success (Selamat atas keberhasilan anda)
3. Congratulation on your getting tetle (Selamat atas perolehan gelar anda)
4. Congratulation on getting a new job (selamat mendapat tugas atau pekerjaan baru)
5. Happy birth day / Happy anniversary (Selamat ulang tahun)

B.Penggunaan Hope
Hope bisa kamu gunakan untuk sebuah harapan yang sangat mungkin terjadi, atau bisa saja terjadi (bukan tidak mungkin). Jika difungsikan sebagai verb yang artinya “berharap”, maka hope dapat kamu gunakan untuk mengharapkan sesuatu yang bisa saja terjadi atau cukup mungkin untuk terjadi. Sebagai noun yang artinya “harapan”, maka harapan itu juga bisa saja terjadi atau mungkin terjadi.
Rumus
1. Subject + hope(s) + simple
present tense or
2. Subject + hope(s) + simple future
tense
Contoh kalimat hope
• I hope she likes the flowers. (Saya
berharap dia suka bunganya.)
• I hope the bus comes soon. (Saya
berharap bus datang segera.)
• I hope you feel better tomorrow.
(Saya harap kamu merasa lebih
baik besok.)
• I hope you are fine there. (Saya
harap kamu baik-baik saja di
sana.)
• We must hope for the best. (Kita
harus berharap untuk yang
terbaik.)
C.Penggunaan Wish
Nah kalau penggunaan wish ini merupakan kebalikan dari hope di atas, yaitu untuk menyatakan harapan yang tidak bisa terwujud, tidak mungkin terjadi, atau setidaknya sangat-sangat sulit terjadi. Seperti halnya hope, wish juga bisa difungsikan sebagai verb maupun sebagai noun.
Rumus
1. Subject + wish(es)... would or
could + verb 1
2. Subject + wish(es) + simple past
3. Subject + wish(es) + past perfect
